Song Book (special edition)

The special edition of Song Book consists of an original
drawing made by John Shankie of the song Teenage
Lobotomy by the Ramones. The drawing is tucked into
a white copy of Song book.

The special edition limited to 25 copies:
1: original drawing (signed by John Shankie)
2. white covered song book (signed by J.S. unique to this edition)
3. red covered (standard edition)

Strum drawings are made while listening to songs.  
They trace the beats and accents of the constituent
guitar parts.

Each drawing mimics the arc of the guitar player’s hand,
wrist and arm movements. Paper occupies the place of
the guitar. The pen is substituted for the plectrum.

The time taken to produce each drawing is as long or
short as the song it illustrates.
